Each month, Whitefriars Church, Rushden, holds a short local countryside walk (of about four miles) that are open to people of all ages and fitness levels, whether alone, or as part of a couple or a family. Here are details of our next events…
Sunday 14th January, STRAWBERRY HILL FOREVER - a three to four mile walk in the countryside near the hamlets of Knotting and Knotting Green, just over the Bedfordshire border, including going through the wilds of Strawberry Hill, a farm acquired last year by the Wildlife Trust. Meet at 10.30am, outside the Church of St Margaret of Antioch, Melchbourne Road, Knotting, MK44 1AF.
Sunday 11th February, LANGUISHING AROUND LOWER DEAN: a three/four mile walk on the Three Shires Way and other footpaths in the countryside near Tilbrook and Lower Dean on the edge of Cambridgeshire. Meet 10.30am at Grange Lodge, High Street, Lower Dean, PE28 0LL, where there is parking and refreshments will be served after the walk.
Sunday 10 th March, HOLCOT HIKE a walk in and near Holcot, not far from Pitsford Reservoir. Meet at Glebe Close, Holcot, NN6 9TF, off the road that goes to Pitsford Reservoir, near the crossroads in time to leave at 10.30.
