NAVIGATING NATURE NEAR NIMMO - Sunday 10th April (Palm Sunday) - a four mile circular walk in countryside near Easton Maudit and Bozeat. Park and meet on the verge at the side of the open road from Easton Maudit towards Yardley Hastings, shortly after it has turned left from the road from Easton Maudit to Grendon in time for a 10.30 start. A nearby postcode, of the church, is NN29 7NR.

WICKIES WITH A BREAK FOR BICCIES - Sunday 8th May - a 3 to 4 mile walk on footpaths in and around Wicksteed Park and the edge of Kettering. Meet in St Botolph’s Way in the centre of Barton Seagrave, in the lay-by almost opposite Castle Way (NN15 6ST), in time to leave at 10.30. (Second attempt at the walk postponed from February due to Covid]

A LEATHERY LAP OF RUSHDEN - Sunday 12th June – a walk of three to four miles mainly around parts of Rushden, looking at some of the main features of the boot & shoe industry which led to the massive growth of Rushden from a small village in the late 1800s – but also including a bit of countryside. Meet in front of Rushden Hall in Hall Park, Rushden (NN10 9NG) - in time to leave at 10.30. This event is part of the Rushden Celebrates festival.

 

Our home group/discussion group continues to meet fortnightly (usually) from 7.30 to 9pm on Thursday evenings, now meeting back in person most weeks, at 3 Duchy Close, Chelveston, NN9 6AW.
