Whereabouts in the school do you meet?

We meet in the main hall. There will be people waiting at the main entrance to greet you and show you the way.

What happens in a service?

Each service will have some singing together, a short talk, time to pray, and the opportunity to be prayed for. At one service a month, we'll also share communion together. There is always a service leader to help guide everyone through what is happening and there is no pressure to join in anything if you do not want to.

How long is a service?

Most of our services are an hour and a half, but this can vary. There are also optional refreshments beforehand from 9.45am and afterwards. Stick around for a hot drink and doughnut, we'd love to meet you.

We're really relaxed, come in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

We love kids at Whitefriars. We have age-appropriate groups that run during part of the service. They would be so welcome to join these. However, if they would rather stay in the service, that is absolutely fine too. Check out Kids for more information.

There is some parking available on the school site and plenty in the surrounding streets. We love to be a blessing to the neighbours, so thanks for parking considerately.

What about accessibility?

There is step-free access to the hall where the church meets. Song lyrics are displayed on screens during worship. We also have a hearing loop available. If you have any questions, we'd love to hear from you and will try to help however we can.

Sundays

We meet on Sundays at 10.15am at Whitefriars School, Boughton Drive, NN10 9HX.

Coffee is served from 9.45 and again after the service so we have a chance to chat with each other and catch up. During the service we spend some time worshipping together, hearing from the Bible, and having a chance to respond to that by praying (talking to God) and worshipping.

The second Sunday in the month is what we call Table Sunday.

We gather around tables for a slightly shorter time, chatting about life and faith over brunch together.

There’s something for all ages at Whitefriars.

If you’re aged 0–14, we have groups running during the service every other week. On the Sundays in between, we stay together for either Worship for Everyone or Table Sunday.

If you’re aged 11–18, Sunday evenings alternate between Ignite — with food, games and time exploring the bible together — and Worship Night with the wider church family.

KIDS

YOUTH

Every fortnight on Sunday evenings, we gather at St Mary’s Church Lower Hall from 7pm for our worship night.

We spend an hour worshipping and praying together, encountering Jesus and welcoming the Holy Spirit to meet with each one of us.
