Weddings
Marriage is a wonderful gift from God, and we want to make your wedding day a really special occasion as you celebrate together. At Whitefriars, our approach to weddings is shaped by God’s love and the Church of England’s teaching on marriage.
There are certain qualifying connections that allow you to get married at Whitefriars.
A wedding day is a wonderful celebration, but the marriage that follows matters even more. As part of getting married at Whitefriars, we’ll invite you to take part in some marriage preparation sessions. These are a great opportunity to reflect together as a couple before your wedding day.

Baptism
We love baptisms at Whitefriars!
Baptism is the way that we make a public declaration to follow Jesus. A baptism is sometimes called a christening, particularly when it’s a baby that is being baptised.
Baptisms at Whitefriars take place as part of our Sunday services at 10.15am.
If you’d like to find out more about baptism, please get in touch below - we’d love to hear from you!
Funerals
When someone dies, there’s suddenly so much to think about and organise. We understand how difficult and overwhelming this can feel, and we’re here to help you say your final goodbye in a meaningful and supportive way.
Our team will work with you and your chosen funeral director to plan a service that reflects and honours your loved one. This can include choosing music, hymns and Bible readings, as well as preparing orders of service and other details.
If you would like to arrange a funeral at Whitefriars, have a member of the Whitefriars team take a service at the crematorium, or would value pastoral support in your bereavement, please get in touch.
