We want to work with Him through ministry to bring wholeness in body, mind & spirit. We seek to discern His will for our lives and strive to be obedient through life-long discipleship within a loving church family. We strive to present the good news of Jesus is in a way that is relaxed, informal & relevant to the modern world. And aim to help people develop relationships with God & one another. Whitefriars has informal modern worship, active home groups, prayer triplets, youth & children's work, bible-based teaching and a friendly atmosphere.

Whitefriars Church exists to worship and serve God. We have been specially called to the Whitefriars area but recognise that our influence extends to our homes, neighbourhoods, schools and places of work.

Whitefriars exists to grow together in the Christian faith by

• living the way Jesus taught us
• taking God's word seriously, as written in the bible
• seeking to be filled by the Holy Spirit, and to use his gifts
• belonging to God's wider church in the world
• telling other people about the fantastic change Jesus brings

Our main aims are:

1. TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO FOLLOW HIM
   Using our actions as well as our words, we seek to make the Christian faith attractive and accessible to others, so that whether married or single, young or old and no matter what background, people may experience a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.

2. TO GROW TOGETHER IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH
   Through teaching the bible, worshipping together and forming honest relationships we seek to build a loving, servant community in which individuals will reach maturity in Christ.

3. TO ENCOURAGE AND HELP OTHER CHRISTIANS
   We celebrate our unity of purpose with other Christian churches in our joint mission with the Holy Spirit to grow the Kingdom of God.
