Children and young people are a valued part of Whitefriars. As a church we believe they have much to give as well as to receive, and we encourage them to participate fully in the life of the church. We consider it our responsibility to nurture them in the Christian faith.

• At Whitefriars Church we commit ourselves to the nurturing, protection and safekeeping of children and young people. Please see our 'Involving Young People' Policy.

• It is the responsibility each one of us to prevent the physical, sexual, and emotional abuse of children and young people, and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.

• The church is committed to supporting, resourcing and training those who work with children and young people and providing supervision.

• This church is committed to following the Home Office Code of practice 'Safe From Harm' and guidelines published by the Diocese of Peterborough.

• Each worker with children and young people must know the recommendations, and undertake to observe them. Each worker is given a copy of the agreed procedures and the Good Practice Guidelines.

• As a Church we regularly pray for the leaders of the our children's clubs, the children, and activities for young people.
